We offer a wide variety of classes for athletes, ages 3 and up. From forward rolls and cartwheels to advanced skills such as fulls and beyond, we’ll be your partner in discovering your capabilities.

Tumbling Class Options Offered at Force Athletics

Preschool Tumbling

Ages 3-4 years

Our preschool tumbling classes also known as tiny tumble are perfect for your little one! We offer our Little Tykes Tumbling Curriculum teaching intro to gymnastics skills such as forward rolls, cartwheels, handstands etc. They will learn how to support their body weight and become more comfortable with going upside down.

Fundamentals 1

Ages 5+

FUNdamentals 1 is our intro to tumbling fundamentals class where participants will learn body control, coordination, and the foundational skills that are the building blocks of all tumbling skills! This is a perfect class for beginner tumblers or first-timers at Force Athletics. Learn everything from a forward roll to a beautifully executed cartwheel and learn how to do it the FA way!

Fundamentals 2

Ages 5+
Prerequisites: Completion of FUN 1, or an evaluation that will include all skills from the previous level.

Fundamentals 2 is a continuation of FUN 1 where participants will continue to acquire foundational tumbling skills by adding on the next progressions. This class will have a large focus on handstands, beautiful bridges, and Back Bend!

Walkovers

Ages 5+
Prerequisites:
Completion of FUN 2, or an evaluation that will include all skills from the previous level.

Our Walkovers class utilizes all the previously learned foundational skills, combined with a focus on flexibility/mobility to acquire the front and back walkovers! You will learn the puzzle pieces that make up walkovers and how to put them together as well as beginning the understanding of how to generate power in more advanced skills.

Intro To Handsprings

Ages 5+

Prerequisites:
Completion of Walkovers or a tumbling evaluation that will include all skills from previous levels.

Intro to Handsprings is a class formulated to learn handsprings the FA way! In this class you will learn to execute all the elements that make up a handspring isolated through drills, before putting them together. At FA we pride ourselves on teaching tumbling in a way that is safe and facilitates an easy progression throughout all the levels avoiding the dreaded plateau! Tumblers will complete this level with a back handspring, and front Handspring on Tumble Track, that is ready to be built off of.

Intermediate Handsprings

Ages 5+
Prerequisites:
Completion of Intro to Handsprings, or well executed back handspring. If handsprings are not executed in a way that promotes an easy progression, the tumbling instructor may require the athlete to complete Intro to Handsprings prior to joining Intermediate Handsprings.

Intermediate Handsprings class is a continuation of Intro to Handsprings, where we take all of our previously learned skills and focus on mastering them on the floor. In this class athletes will learn to do their back and front handspring on the floor along with a round off back handspring!

Advanced Handsprings + Beginner Tucks

Ages 5+
Prerequisites:
Completion of Intermediate Handsprings or a tumbling evaluation that will include all skills from previous levels.

Advanced Handsprings + Beginner Tucks class is a continuation of Intermediate Handsprings, where we take all your previously learned skills and focus on how to connect them to multiple back handsprings. You will learn how to connect the round off to multiple back handsprings and get introduced to the shaping of tucks to continue working safe progressions.

Tucks and Above

Ages 5+
Prerequisites:
Completed Advanced Handsprings + Beginner Tucks OR a tumbling evaluation that will include all skills from the previous level.

Tucks and Above class is where you will learn all the technique elements that go into a beautifully executed tuck! Learn how to rotate safely and in a way that promotes progression through to higher level skills. Through drills and repetition, you are sure to have a tuck that is confident and consistent every time.
Once the Tuck is mastered, athletes will work towards higher level tumbling such as layouts and fulls.
